Summary:To provide an intake and exhaust structure for engine capable of, with a simple configuration, suppressing heat damage caused to an intake passage.SOLUTION: An engine body comprises an intake port opened to a port opening surface which is one side surface of the engine body, and connected to an intake passage, and an exhaust port opened to a location below the intake port on the port opening surface, and connected to an exhaust passage. In the intake passage is disposed an intake manifold fixed to the port opening surface in an attitude of communicating with the intake port and extending upward from an opening portion of the intake port. In the exhaust passage is disposed an exhaust manifold fixed to the port opening surface in a state of being disposed below the intake manifold and communicating with the exhaust port. In an EGR passage is disposed an EGR cooler which cools EGR gas passing through the EGR passage. The EGR cooler is disposed in a location below the intake manifold and above the exhaust manifold on a side of the port opening surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】簡単な構成で吸気通路に付与される熱害を抑制できるエンジンの吸排気構造を提供する。【解決手段】エンジン本体の一側面であるポート開口面に開口して吸気通路に接続される吸気ポートと、ポート開口面のうち吸気ポートよりも下方の位置に開口して排気通路に接続される排気ポートとを設け、吸気通路に、吸気ポートと連通し且つ吸気ポートの開口部分から上方に延びる姿勢でポート開口面に固定される吸気マニホールドを設け、排気通路に、吸気マニホールドの下方に配設されて排気ポートと連通する状態でポート開口面に固定される排気マニホールドを設け、EGR通路に、EGR通路を通過するEGRガスを冷却するEGRクーラを設け、EGRクーラを、ポート開口面の側方において吸気マニホールドよりも下方且つ排気マニホールドよりも上方の位置に配設する。【選択図】図3
