Summary:To solve a problem that, in catheter treatment, a plaque is damaged by a step between a guiding catheter distal end opening and a guide wire in rare cases, which may cause clogging with a cholesterol crystal in a peripheral capillary vessel or a glomerulus of a kidney, and the BlueToe syndrome, acute renal failure, or the like, so called, cholesterol embolism may be caused.SOLUTION: A catheter assembly is formed by inserting a microcatheter of a rapid exchange type as a first catheter to a lumen of a guiding catheter as a second catheter, so as to achieve a clearance CL of a degree of exceeding 0.1 mm to make a step small. This prevents a distal end opening of the guiding catheter from scratching an inner surface of a blood vessel to damage a plaque and cause a cholesterol crystal to be scattered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】カテーテル治療の際、まれにガイディングカテーテル先端開口部とガイドワイヤーとの段差によってプラークを破綻し、コレステロール結晶が末梢の毛細血管や腎臓の糸球体で目詰まりを起こしいわゆるコレステロール塞栓症であるBlueToe症候群や急性腎不全などを引き起こす場合がある。
