Summary:To provide a branched organopolysiloxane compound that has excellent compatibility with polar oils and the like and that can serve as a substitute for conventional low-molecular-weight siloxanes, and to provide a production method with which the branched organopolysiloxane is easily obtained at high purity.SOLUTION: A branched organopolysiloxane is represented by the following formula (1) (where R1 independently represents a C1-3 alkyl group, R2 represents a C2-3 alkyl group, R3 represents a C1-3 alkyl group. n represents 1 or 2, and m represents an integer of 0-3 with n=1, while m represents 0 or 1 with n=2.
