Summary:To provide a path switching component capable of suppressing damage of a medium due to contact between a tip of switching means and the medium when a path switching operation by the switching means is performed at a place where a conveyance path for conveying the medium is branched.SOLUTION: A path switching component 1 is provided at a place where a conveyance path 10 for conveying a medium S is branched, and is used for switching the conveyance path to either a first branch path 11 or a second branch path 12. The path switching component 1 comprises: switching means 2 which has a first arm member 3 swingably provided at a place where the conveyance path 10 is branched and a second arm member 4 connected to a tip side of the first arm member 3 via a movable part 5, closes one of the first branch path 11 and the second branch path 12, and opens the other of them; elastic holding means 6 which is provided around the movable part 5 and elastically holds the first arm member 3 and the second arm member 4 so that they keep a predetermined positional relation; and rotating means 7 which is rotatably provided on a tip side of the second arm member 4 and comes into contact with the medium S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】媒体が搬送される搬送経路が分岐する箇所において、切換手段による経路切換動作を実施するに当たり、切換手段の先端部と媒体との接触による媒体の損傷を抑制する。【解決手段】経路切換部品１は、媒体Ｓが搬送される搬送経路１０が分岐する箇所に設けられ、第１の分岐経路１１及び第２の分岐経路１２のいずれかに切換える経路切換部品１であって、搬送経路１０が分岐する箇所に揺動可能に設けられる第１の腕部材３及び第１の腕部材３の先端側に可動部５を介して連結される第２の腕部材４を有し、第１の分岐経路１１及び第２の分岐経路１２のいずれか一方の分岐経路を塞ぎ、他方の分岐経路を開放する切換手段２と、可動部５の周囲に設けられ、第１の腕部材３及び第２の腕部材４を予め決められた位置関係に保つように弾性的に保持する弾性保持手段６と、第２の腕部材４の先端側に回転可能に設けられ、媒体Ｓに接触する回転手段７と、を備える。【選択図】図１
