Summary:To provide a manufacturing method that is a gas phase catalytic oxidation method that manufactures unsaturated aldehyde and unsaturated carboxylic acid corresponding to raw materials such as propylene, isobutylene, and t-butyl alcohol and has high yield of a target product even in a region where a raw material conversion rate is high.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of unsaturated aldehydes and/or unsaturated carboxylic acids is provided, in which a fixed bed multitubular reactor is used, and a plurality of catalyst layers formed by dividing it into n parts (n is 2 or more) in the gas flow direction of a reaction tube is established.
