Summary:To provide a rotary compressor which generates flow of a refrigerant swirling along a circumferential direction of a casing.SOLUTION: At the interior of a casing (20), a first space (23) to which a refrigerant compressed by a compression mechanism (40) is discharged and a second space (24) provided between the housing (50) and a motor (30) are provided by the housing (50). The housing (50) is provided with a discharge passage (80) which discharges the refrigerant from the first space (23) to the second space (24).
