Summary:To conduct proper preliminary operation according to a situation of an object.SOLUTION: A driving support device conducts a first preliminary operation, if an approach degree of a vehicle and an object satisfies a second condition, and conducts a second preliminary operation, if the approach degree satisfies a third condition, and if it is determined that a space allowing advancing after avoidance by steering does not exist on any lateral runway of the object, at the time the third condition is satisfied.
