To provide a walking assist device that can be fixed to the body of a user sufficiently easily regardless of the body type of the user while suppressing an increase in costs, and hardly gives a feeling of discomfort to the user.SOLUTION: A waist orthosis 1 includes: a fixing belt 10 which extends forward from a waist part frame 2 and abuts on the front surface of a user; a spacer 11 whose thickness in a front-back direction can be changed and which abuts on the back surface of the waist part of the user on the front side; and an adjusting belt 12 connected to the waist part frame 2 and the fixing belt 10 for adjusting a distance in a front-back direction between the fixing belt 10 and the spacer 11.
