Summary:To provide a gate device capable of guiding a user passing through a ticket examination passage to an arrival/departure platform of a train.SOLUTION: A gate device includes a ticket processing unit, an acquisition unit, and a display unit. The ticket processing unit reads ticket information stored in a ticket medium owned by a user entering a station yard. The acquisition unit, when the ticket processing unit has read commutation ticket information including an effective section and an effective period as the ticket information, acquires an arrival/departure platform of a train according to an entering station and a get-off station estimated based on the effective section for the user. The display unit displays a guide to the arrival/departure platform for the train acquired by the acquisition unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】改札通路を通行している利用者に対して、電車の発着ホームを案内できるゲート装置を提供する。【解決手段】ゲート装置は、乗車券処理部と取得部と表示部とを備える。乗車券処理部は、駅構内に入場する利用者が所持する乗車券媒体に記憶されている乗車券情報を読み取る。取得部は、乗車券処理部が乗車券情報として有効区間、および有効期間を含む定期券情報を読み取った場合、利用者の入場駅および有効区間を基に推定された降車駅に応じた電車の発着ホームを取得する。表示部は、取得部が取得した電車の発着ホームへの案内を表示する。【選択図】図１
