Summary:To provide a payment terminal that simultaneously achieves miniaturization of the payment terminal, avoidance of erroneous recognition, easy understanding for a user, and smoothness of a payment operation.SOLUTION: In a payment terminal, a magnetic card payment slot, a contact IC card payment slot, and a surface with a touch area for a contactless payment are arranged in a height direction from a placement surface in this order from near the placement surface. When a user faces a front surface of the payment terminal, a direction of the touch area for the contactless payment is a direction obliquely upward toward the user, and an insertion direction of an IC card into the contact IC card payment slot and a swipe direction of a magnetic card into the magnetic card payment slot are arranged so that the insertion direction and the swipe direction are substantially perpendicular to each other. In addition, a direction of the magnetic card payment slot faces a user side, and faces obliquely upward with respect to a direction parallel to the placement surface. When the user swipes the magnetic card over the magnetic card payment slot, a magnetic head for a magnetic card is located closer to the placement surface from a position where the user holds the magnetic card.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】決済端末の小型化、誤認識の回避、利用者にとっての分かりやすさ、及び、決済動作のスムーズさを、同時に実現する決済端末を提供する。【解決手段】決済端末において、載置面から高さ方向に、載置面の近くから順に、磁気カード決済用スロット、接触型ＩＣカード決済用スロット及び、非接触型決済用のタッチ領域を有する面が配置される。利用者が正面に対峙した場合に、非接触型決済用のタッチ領域の向きは利用者に向かって斜め上方とし、接触型ＩＣカード決済用スロットへのカード挿入方向と磁気カード決済用スロットへの磁気カードのスワイプ方向とが略直角方向となるよう配置される。また、磁気カード決済用スロットの向きは利用者側に向き、且つ載置面と平行な方向から斜め上方とし、利用者が磁気カード決済用スロットに磁気カードをスワイプする際、利用者が磁気カードを把持した位置よりも、磁気カードの磁気ヘッドが載置面の近くに位置する。【選択図】図１
