Summary: | To provide a flocculant which is excellent in flocculation performance even if a polyacrylamide-based polymer flocculant is not used, and is also excellent in dewaterability of sludge after flocculation, and a method for producing the same, and a treatment method of a treated object using the flocculant.SOLUTION: There are provided a flocculant which contains (A) a sulfated polysaccharide-containing material containing sulfated polysaccharide whose anion degree is a colloid equivalent value of -2.000 [meq/g] or less, and (B) xanthan gum, wherein the flocculant is a granule; a method for producing a flocculant which includes the steps of kneading at least the component (A) and the component (B), and obtaining a kneaded material, and granulating the kneaded material to obtain granules, wherein the flocculant is liquid, and the method includes a step of mixing at least the component (A) and the component (B) with a solvent; and a treatment method which includes adding the flocculant to a treated object, and treating the treated object.SELECTED DRAWING: None
