Summary:To provide a system and method for controlling the internal temperature of an ejector of a 3D printer.SOLUTION: A printer 100 comprises a pump 110 that includes an internal cavity to hold a liquid-metal printing material 120 and a nozzle 116 configured to eject a plurality of liquid-metal drips, and an actuation coil that is configured to supply a pulse to a liquid metal and generate an electromagnetic force on the liquid metal, the actuation coil supplying a pulse with a first time-varying current pulse and the electromagnetic force allowing the nozzle to eject drips of liquid metal. The actuation coil also supplies a pulse with a second time-varying current pulse, in which case the electromagnetic force is not sufficient to eject liquid drips.
