Summary:To provide an optical scanner that makes variable the interval between a plurality of scan lines formed by scanning light.SOLUTION: An optical scanner 120 has: a first driver 5 that drives a light reflection surface 51 around a first axis A1 at a first frequency fv to scan light L1 reflected on the light reflection surface in a direction intersecting the first axis A1; a second driver 10 that supports the first driver 5, and drives an angle plate around a second axis A2 at a second frequency fh to scan the light L1 in a direction intersecting the second axis A2; and a control unit 140 that controls the drive of the second driver 10. When the number of scan lines Li formed by light L2 scanned in a direction intersecting the first axis A1 in one driving cycle of the second driver 10 is defined as N, the number of scan lines formed by light scanned in a direction intersecting the first axis A1 in one driving cycle of the first driver 5 as M, and a constant as α, fh=M×fv/(N+α) and 0<|α|<1 are satisfied.
