Summary:To provide a diffraction grating array which can increase the efficiency of light reception by a simple and small structure when the array receives light by using a diffraction grating.SOLUTION: A grating pattern (13A2) and a grating pattern (13A3) are partially overlapped so that a diffraction grating having a grating pattern group (13Ax) is formed. The grating pattern (13A2) and the grating pattern (13A3) are overlapped at a peripheral region of each of the grating patterns (13A2, 13A3) which has a small intensity of electric field. In that way, the intensity of the electric field in the overlapping site is increased and the efficiency of light reception is increased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】簡素かつ小規模な構成で、回折格子を用いて光を受光する場合における受光効率を向上することができる回折格子アレイを提供する。【解決手段】格子パターン(13A2)と格子パターン(13A3)との一部を重複させて格子パターン群(13Ax)を有する回折格子を形成する。格子パターン(13A2)と格子パターン(13A3)とは、格子パターン(13A2、13A3)の各々における電界強度が小さい周辺部位を、重複させる。これによって、重複部位における電界強度が増加し、受光効率が向上する。【選択図】図5
