To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a formed coke which reduces an amount of powder flowing into a dry distillation furnace, and thereby dissolves uneven distribution of the powder in the dry distillation furnace at the time of manufacture of a formed coke such as a ferro coke, and has high quality and high productivity.SOLUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing a raw material for a blast furnace includes a dry distillation furnace 6 for distilling a carbon-containing substance and manufacturing a formed coke, and a charging chute 1 for supplying the carbon-containing substance from outside, where the charging chute has an inclined part, and has a sieve 2b provided at least a part on a lower surface side of the inclined part of the charging chute, and means for separating or collecting a sieve which passes through the sieve and has a small diameter out of the carbon-containing substance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明の課題は、乾留炉炉体に流入する粉体量を低減することにより、フェロコークス等の成型コークス製造時の乾留炉内の粉体偏在を解消し、高品質かつ生産性の高い成型コークス製造方法および製造装置を提案すること。【解決手段】炭素含有物質を乾留して成型コークスを製造するための乾留炉６と、前記炭素含有物質を外部から供給する装入シュート１とを備える高炉用原料製造装置であって、前記装入シュートが傾斜部を有し、前記装入シュートの傾斜部の下面側の少なくとも一部に篩２ｂを有し、前記炭素含有物質のうち前記篩を通過した小径のものを分離または回収する手段を有することを特徴とする高炉用原料製造装置。【選択図】図１
