Summary:To provide a tie material capable of improving the workability and safety during shoring construction, and shoring assembly method.SOLUTION: A tie material 4 includes: a main body part 5 that is placed crossing horizontally between steel shorings 3 in the front and rear; a receiving part 6 connected to the tip of the main body part 5; and an insertion part 7 fixed at the base end of the main body part 5, and the shoring assembly method uses the tie material 4. The receiving part 6 includes: a truncated conical cylindrical member 61 whose diameter decreases from the distal end to the proximal end; a support member 62 that supports the cylindrical member 61; and a connecting member 63 that attaches the support member 62 to the tip of the main body part 5.
