Summary: | To provide a bearing device for a wheel which can prevent hardening crack by heat treatment without increasing a thickness of counter bore parts in an axial direction.SOLUTION: A bearing device 1 for a wheel has an inner side counter bore part 2h and an outer side counter bore part 2m which are respectively located adjacent to an inner side outer ring raceway surface 2c and an outer side outer ring raceway surface 2d and in which their inner peripheral surfaces protrude to a radial inner side relative to groove bottom diameters of the inner side outer ring raceway surface 2c and the outer side outer ring raceway surface 2d. For example, the inner side counter bore part 2h has: a first inclined surface 2i extending to the radial inner side from an end on an opening side toward the inner side outer ring raceway surface 2c side; and a second inclined surface 2l which is located on at least the opening side of both ends of the first inclined surface 2i and extends to the radial inner side toward the inner side outer ring raceway surface 2c side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
