To provide a method for evaluating fingerprint resistance applicable also to an on-vehicle display device and considering wiping characteristics, a laminate with excellent fingerprint resistance satisfying an evaluation criterion according to the evaluation method, a method for manufacturing the same, and a display device having the laminate.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for evaluating fingerprint resistance of a surface of an object, and using a measurement value difference ΔL*(θ) between a portion of the surface of the object to which artificial fingerprint liquid is transferred and then the liquid is wiped off once and a portion to which the liquid is not transferred obtained by a formula (1) defined in the specification and using a goniophotometer.
