To provide an image forming apparatus that can extend the life of a storage unit included in each cartridge.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a plurality of cartridges that each have a storage unit storing history information on the history of print processing and store developer; and a control unit that controls recording of the history information in the storage unit included in each of the plurality of cartridges.
