To provide a subtitle display device and a subtitle display program that can reduce the time from utterance to display of subtitles by displaying subtitles at a stage where speech recognition of a part of subtitles to be displayed on a screen is fixed and updating subtitles each time new recognition results are fixed.SOLUTION: A subtitle display device includes: a speech recognition unit that performs speech recognition processing for input speech; a stock that stores recognition results whenever the recognition results determined by the speech recognition unit are fixed; a timer; and a subtitle generator that starts the timer at timing when the recognition results are stored at the top of the stock and generates and outputs subtitle data based on the recognition results stored every specified time based on the timer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】画面に表示する字幕の一部の音声認識が確定している段階で字幕を表示し、新たに認識結果が確定するたびに字幕を更新することにより、発話から字幕を表示するまでの小さくすることができる字幕表示装置、及び字幕表示プログラムを提供すること。【解決手段】字幕表示装置は、入力された音声に対して音声認識処理を行う音声認識部と、前記音声認識部により音声認識された認識結果が確定するたびに前記認識結果を保存するストックと、タイマーと、前記ストックの先頭に認識結果が保存されたタイミングで前記タイマーを起動し、前記タイマーに基づいて所定の時間毎に記憶される前記認識結果に基づいて字幕データを生成し出力する字幕生成部と、を備える。【選択図】図１
