To provide a developing device that can prevent unevenness of screw pitch, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A developing device carries, with the action of a magnetic field, a developer including toner and magnetic carrier and conveyed by a supply and conveying screw 143 being a conveying screw in a developer storage part, on a surface of a developing sleeve 141 being a developer carrier, and conveys the developer carried on the surface of the developing sleeve to a developing area.
