To provide a technique that enables a recording device, which can selectively switch recording of a cut sheet and recording of a continuous sheet, to perform an appropriate process for a conveyance disorder.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a recording part that records an image on sheets; a first conveyance path through which a cut sheet which is the sheet is conveyed toward the recording part; a second conveyance path through which a continuous sheet which is the sheet is conveyed toward the recording part; and a common conveyance path through which the sheets are conveyed in a conveying direction from a merging point where the first conveyance path and the second conveyance path merge with each other to the recording part.
