To provide an image processor, a method for processing an image, and a program which can more precisely detect a region where missing of recognition is more likely happening.SOLUTION: An image processor includes: a recognition unit for recognizing an item from a taken image of displayed items; and a detection unit for detecting a region of an item which is in the image and is not recognized by the recognition unit on the basis of store fixture information related to a store fixture for displaying items.
