Summary:To provide a position identification system capable of reducing the time and effort of prior work and raise the accuracy of identifying a position.SOLUTION: The position identification system receives, by an indoor positioning client 300, a beacon signal outputted from each of a plurality of stationary beacon devices that are installed in the vicinity of a positioning target region and identifies a position of the indoor positioning client 300. This position identification system comprises: a radio wave map storage unit 228 for storing information, as a radio wave map, that indicates a change of radio wave intensity of the beacon signal that is measured in advance by moving on a path that is set within a measurement target region; a radio wave intensity detection unit 322 for detecting the radio wave intensity of the beacon signal by an indoor positioning client 300 located on the path; and a position identification unit 230 for identifying the position of the indoor positioning client 300 on the basis of the radio wave intensity detected by the radio wave intensity detection unit 322.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】事前作業の手間低減が可能であって、位置の特定精度を上げることができる位置特定システムを提供すること。【解決手段】位置特定システムは、測位対象領域の近傍に設置された複数の固定ビーコン装置のそれぞれから出力されるビーコン信号を屋内測位クライアント300で受信してこの屋内測位クライアント300の位置の特定を行う。この位置特定システムは、測定対象領域内に設定されたパス上をあらかじめ移動することによって測定されたビーコン信号の電波強度の変化を示す情報を電波マップとして蓄積する電波マップ蓄積部228と、パス上に位置する屋内測位クライアント300においてビーコン信号の電波強度を検出する電波強度検出部322と、電波強度検出部322によって検出した電波強度に基づいて、屋内測位クライアント300の位置を特定する位置特定部230とを備える。【選択図】図1
