To provide a method for providing food and beverage for people who require support for drinking and eating, such as economically challenged children, the method being easier to utilize.SOLUTION: A medal different in at least two or more of an outer diameter, a thickness, and a material from circulated coins is prepared and distributed to an object person identified by a business manager as requiring support for charge-free drinking and eating. When the object person having received the distributed medal inputs the medal into an input port of an automatic vending machine, the automatic vending machine determines the medal as a genuine medal based on a difference in feature quantity resulting from at least two or more of the outer diameter, the thickness, and the material, so that the object person is provided with food and beverage from the automatic vending machine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】経済的に恵まれない子どもなど飲食の支援が必要な人に飲食品を提供するための方法であり、より利用しやすい飲食品提供方法を提供する。【解決手段】流通している硬貨と、外径、厚さ、及び材質のうち少なくとも二以上が相違するメダルを用意し、事業管理者が、無償での飲食の支援が必要であると認定した対象者に配布する。メダルの配布を受けた対象者が、自動販売機の投入口にメダルを投入したときに、外径、厚さ、及び材質のうち少なくとも二以上に起因する特徴量の相違に基づいて、自動販売機がメダルを真正のメダルと判定することにより、自動販売機から対象者に飲食品が提供される。【選択図】図２
