To suppress the positional deviation of a heat insulator and a reduction in the durability of a heat-proof mat.SOLUTION: An exhaust system device for an internal combustion engine includes an exhaust pipe, the heat insulator provided along the outer peripheral face of the exhaust pipe while separating from the outer peripheral face, and a mat material provided between the exhaust pipe and the heat insulator in a compressed state.
