Summary:To shorten the time required for estimating a position of a rotor of a motor in a control device for a motor which estimates the position of the rotor using a high frequency current included in current flowing to the motor.SOLUTION: A control device 1 includes: an inverter circuit 2; an estimation unit 8 for estimating a position of a rotor of a motor M using a polarity of the rotor while determining the polarity; a current conversion unit 7; a current command value output unit 11; a voltage command value calculation unit 14; a superposing unit 15; and a voltage command value conversion unit 16.
