Summary:To make it possible to smoothly perform data communication for maintenance without adding a dedicated communication connection configuration in a hot water supply device and a hot water supply system having first and second control boards.SOLUTION: A microcomputer 110, a communication circuit 120, and a communication port 130 are mounted on a control board 100. When a maintenance mode is set and input in the case where the communication port 130 is disconnected from a sub-control board 300 and connected to a failure diagnosis interface apparatus 400, the microcomputer 110 switches from a state in which a first protocol for communicating with the sub-control board 300 is applied to a state in which a second protocol for communicating with the interface apparatus 400 is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】第1及び第2の制御基板を有する給湯装置及び給湯システムにおいて、専用の通信接続構成を追加することなくメンテナンスのためのデータ通信を円滑に実行する。【解決手段】制御基板100には、マイコン110と、通信回路120及び通信ポート130とが搭載される。マイコン110は、通信ポート130がサブ制御基板300とは切り離されて故障診断用のインターフェイス機器400と接続される場合にメンテナンスモードが設定入力されると、サブ制御基板300と通信するための第1のプロトコルが適用される状態から、インターフェイス機器400と通信するための第2のプロトコルが適用される状態へ切り替わる。【選択図】図4
