To provide a method for manufacturing a glass article by which quality of the glass article can be easily enhanced.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a glass article comprises a curved part forming process for forming a curved part on a plate glass G1. The method for manufacturing a glass article comprises a preparation process for supporting the plate glass G1 on the support base 14. The support base 14 is provided with a first support part 15 and a second support part 16 disposed so as to be apart from the first support part 15. The first support part 15 includes a first support surface 15a supporting a first main surface G1a of the plate glass G1. The second support part 16 includes a second support surface 16a supporting a first main surface G1a of the plate glass G1.
