Summary:To construct a train control system determining whether reduction in performance of a sensor for detecting an obstacle is temporary and acceptable from the viewpoint of ensuring the safety during traveling of a train or cannot be ignored for safety so as to enable both ensuring of safety and stable operation.SOLUTION: A train is equipped with one or more sensors and an on-vehicle control device having a database, which records the type of one or more ground installation objects existing along a traveling route of the train, the position of the ground installation object, and the weight set for the ground installation object. The sensor detects the ground installation object. The on-vehicle control device collates the ground installation object detected by the sensor with the ground installation object recorded in the database, determines the ground installation object, which cannot be detected by the sensor though it exists on the database, as a non-detected ground installation object, calculates the weight of the non-detected ground installation object based on information about the database, and determines that the sensor is abnormal when the weight of one non-detected ground installation object or a total value of respectively calculated weight of plural non-detected ground installation objects becomes a prescribed value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】障害物検知のためのセンサの性能低下が、一時的で列車走行の安全性確保の観点から許容可能か、安全上無視できないかを判定し、安全性確保と安定運行の両立を可能とする列車制御システムを構築する。【解決手段】1以上のセンサと、列車の走行路沿線に存在する1以上の地上設置物の種別、当該地上設置物の位置および当該地上設置物に対して設定される重みを記録したデータベースを有する車上制御装置とを列車に備え、センサは、地上設置物を検知し、車上制御装置は、センサが検知した地上設置物とデータベースに記録された地上設置物とを照合し、データベース上には存在するがセンサで検知できなかった地上設置物を未検知の地上設置物と判定し、当該未検知の地上設置物に対してデータベースの情報に基づいて重みを算出し、未検知の地上設置物が、1つの場合は算出した当該重みが、複数の場合はそれぞれ算出した当該重みの合算値が、所定値以上になるとセンサは異常であると判定する。【選択図】図2
