Summary:To optimize the interval between a fixing belt and a separating member with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A nip forming unit has: a rotatable flexible endless belt (fixing belt 20); a nip forming member (heater 22) that is provided contactable with an inner peripheral surface of the endless belt; a pressure member (pressure roller 21) that is in pressure contact with the nip forming member with the endless belt therebetween to form a nip; and guide members (flanges 400) that guide both ends of the endless belt, wherein a body to be conveyed is conveyed through the nip.
