Summary:To prevent engine output from being continuously limited to no avail when a request is made for controlling discharge of particulate matters from an engine.SOLUTION: When a request is made for controlling discharge of particulate matters from an engine, a vehicle controls the engine so that the same is operated within a range equal to or less than control upper limit output. In such a case, when the request is made for controlling discharge of the particulate matters and an excess particulate matter discharge amount obtained by accumulating a difference subtracting a particulate matter discharge amount in actual engine operation from a particulate matter discharge amount assuming engine operation at the control upper limit output is equal to or larger than a first threshold, the vehicle executes upper limit relaxation processing to increase the control upper limit output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】エンジンからの粒子状物質の排出抑制が要求されているときに、エンジンの出力を無駄に制限し続けるのを抑制する。【解決手段】エンジンからの粒子状物質の排出抑制が要求されているときには、制御用上限出力以下の範囲内でエンジンが運転されるようにエンジンを制御する。この場合に、粒子状物質の排出抑制が要求されているときにおいて、制御用上限出力でエンジンを運転したと仮定したときの粒子状物質の排出量から、エンジンの実運転での粒子状物質の排出量を、減じた値の積算値として得られる粒子状物質の余裕排出量が第1閾値以上に至ると、制御用上限出力を増加させる上限緩和処理を実行する。【選択図】図4
