To provide a jig and a method for safely fixing a panel used as an external wall of a building to a furring strip fixed to a skeleton of the building at low cost or in a short construction period.SOLUTION: A jig has a fixing unit, an operation unit fitted to the fixing unit, a power unit fitted at least either one of the fixing unit and the operation unit, and a driver unit that is fitted to the operation unit and has a housing for storing the electric driver. The fixing unit has a fixing jaw and a slide jaw for fixing a jig to a furring strip in a state in which the jig is positioned on a panel. The operation unit has a slide mechanism to reversibly slide the driver unit in a first direction and an operation mechanism for operating a trigger of the electric driver.
