Summary:To effectively suppress brightness unevenness due to a light source even if a positional deviation is generated on an optical sheet.SOLUTION: A backlight device is equipped with a plurality of LED's, and a plurality of optical sheets disposed so as to overlap with a position separated from the plurality of LED's. The plurality of optical sheets are equipped with a first reflection sheet 42A and a second reflection sheet 42B. The first reflection sheet 42A and the second reflection sheet 42B respectively have unit areas X modulating light emitted from the LED's, about each of the plurality of LED's. The unit areas X include modulation areas that are made from first pattern layers 45A and 45B and have a comparatively higher light reflection rate than other areas.
