To provide a safety helmet which can be folded compactly.SOLUTION: There is provided a safety helmet 1 including a crown 2 formed by a semi-cylindrical peripheral surface portion 4 and end faces 6 connected to both ends of a peripheral surface portion in a cylinder axis direction via a ridge line portion, in which the peripheral surface portion is formed by an upper quadrangular panel 7 and a lower quadrangular panel 8, each of the end faces is formed by an upper tapered panel and a lower tapered panel 10, each of the upper tapered panel 9 and the lower tapered panel tapers radially inwardly, the ridge line portion passing between the upper quadrangular panels and between the pair of upper tapered panels on each of the end faces constitutes a valley-foldable ridge line portion 11, a ridge line portion passing between the upper rectangular panel and the lower rectangular panel and between the upper tapered panel and the lower tapered panel in each of the end faces constitutes a mountain-foldable ridge line portion 12, each of the upper quadrangular panel, the lower quadrangular panel, the upper tapered panel, and the lower tapered panel has a cushioning material, and the ridge line portion does not have the cushioning material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】コンパクトに折り畳むことができる安全帽を提供する。【解決手段】半筒状の周面部４と周面部の筒軸方向の両端に稜線部を介して連なる端面部６とで形成されるクラウン２を有し、周面部が上側四角形状パネル７と下側四角形状パネル８とで形成され、端面部の各々が上側先細状パネルと下側先細状パネル１０とで形成され、上側先細状パネル９と下側先細状パネルの各々が、径方向の内側に向けて先細状をなし、上側四角形状パネルの間と、端面部の各々における一対の上側先細状パネルの間と、を通る稜線部が、谷折り稜線部１１を構成し、上側四角形状パネルと下側四角形状パネルの間と、端面部の各々における上側先細状パネルと下側先細状パネルの間と、を通る稜線部が、山折り可能な山折り稜線部１２を構成し、上側四角形状パネル、下側四角形状パネル、上側先細状パネル及び下側先細状パネルの各々が緩衝材を有し、稜線部が緩衝材を有さない、安全帽１。【選択図】図１
