Summary:To provide a rotor capable of reducing a degree of difficulty in manufacturing thereof and reducing material costs when a permanent magnet is fixed to a rotor core, a method for manufacturing the same, and a rotary electric machine including the rotor.SOLUTION: A rotor includes: a rotor core 5 having an axis of rotation 6 that serves as a center of rotation and that is inserted in a central part; and a plurality of permanent magnets 7 arranged at certain intervals along the circumferential direction of the rotor core 5. Each of the permanent magnets 7 has an insertion hole 51 penetrating the rotor core 5 in an axial direction, the insertion holes being formed by the same number as the number of the permanent magnets 7 in the circumferential direction.
