To improve the operability when a hull is brought alongside a pier.SOLUTION: A left lateral movement switch 53, a right lateral movement switch 54, a left pressing switch 63, and a right pressing switch 64 are provided at a wheel part 43 of a steering device 14 as mode switches for instructing to perform a lateral thrust force generation mode in which a thrust force for translating a hull 2 in a lateral direction is generated. Further, paddle parts 57, 58 for instructing to apply a thrust force in an anteroposterior direction to the hull 2 are provided at the steering device 14. A controller 40 performs the lateral thrust force generation mode in response to an instruction by the mode switch and controls at least one of ship propulsion machines 4L, 4R so as to generate or change the thrust force in the anteroposterior direction acting on the hull 2 in response to the paddle parts 57, 58 being operated when the lateral thrust force generation mode is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】船体を横付けする際の操作性を高める。【解決手段】船体２を横方向へ平行移動させる推力を発生させる横推力発生モードの実施を指示するためのモードスイッチとして、左横移動スイッチ５３、右横移動スイッチ５４、左押付スイッチ６３および右押付スイッチ６４が、ステアリング装置１４のホイール部４３に設けられる。また、ステアリング装置１４には、船体２に対し前後方向の推力を与えるよう指示するためのパドル部５７、５８が設けられる。コントローラ４０は、モードスイッチによる指示に応じて横推力発生モードを実施し、横推力発生モードの実施中にパドル部５７、５８が操作されたことに応じて、船体２に作用する前後方向の推力を発生または変化させるよう船舶推進機４Ｌ，４Ｒの少なくとも１つを制御する。【選択図】図８
