Summary:To provide a device and a method for controlling an electric brake, and an electric brake device which can suppress deterioration in estimation accuracy based on a current value of an electric motor.SOLUTION: A brake mechanism 22 includes an electric motor 26, a torsion spring 33, and a ratchet mechanism 34. The ratchet mechanism 34 is configured so that a tip 33 of the torsion spring 33 gets over projections 34A, in a case in which rotational torque acting on the torsion spring 33 exceeds a predetermined value when the electric motor 26 is normally rotated.
