To provide an opening limiting device capable of automatically switching to an opening limiting state for limiting the opening width of a window.SOLUTION: An opening limiting device includes an opening limiting stopper 4 and an arm 32. The opening limiting stopper 4 includes a base attached to an inner meeting stile 24B, a latch hook 60 which is held so as to be movable in a protruding direction and a retracting direction and has an engaging portion 65, a coil spring 90 which biases the latch hook 60 in the protruding direction, and an operation knob 70 which can move the latch hook 60 in the retracting direction. The arm 32 includes an insertion hole into which the engaging portion 65 can be inserted and an elongated hole continuous from the insertion hole, and is provided so as to be swingable in the sliding direction of a sash S. The engaging portion 65 includes an inclined portion 67 which abuts on the arm 32 when the sash S is closed to move the latch hook 60 in the retracting direction, and a locking piece portion 68 which is locked to the arm 32 so as not to move in the retracting direction when the engaging portion 65 is positioned in the elongated hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】窓の開口幅を制限する開口制限状態に自動的に切り替えることができる開口制限装置を提供すること。【解決手段】開口制限装置は、開口制限ストッパー４とアーム３２とを備える。開口制限ストッパー４は、内召合せ框２４Ｂに取り付けられるベースと、突出方向および没入方向に移動可能に保持され、係合部６５を有するラッチフック６０と、ラッチフック６０を突出方向に付勢するコイルバネ９０と、ラッチフック６０を没入方向に移動可能な操作つまみ７０とを備える。アーム３２は、係合部６５が挿入可能な挿入孔と、挿入孔から連続する長孔とを備え、障子のスライド方向に揺動自在に設けられる。係合部６５は、障子を閉めた際にアーム３２に当接してラッチフック６０を没入方向に移動させる傾斜部６７と、係合部６５が長孔に位置する場合は没入方向に移動できないようにアーム３２に係止される係止片部６８とを備える。【選択図】図５
