To provide an image forming system that, in creating a printed material having glossiness in an image forming system having a varnish coater, can improve the productivity of the printed material.SOLUTION: In a case of the presence of the varnish coating (varnish mode), the conveyance speed of a recording material during fixing in a fixing device is increased compared with a case of the absence of the varnish coating (normal mode). In general, the conveyance speed of the recording material is increased to improve the productivity of a printed material, but when the conveyance speed of the recording material is increased, a recording material having toner without glossiness may be ejected from an image forming apparatus. The conveyance speed of the recording material during fixing is therefore increased when the varnish coating is performed. In this case, even if the recording material having the toner without glossiness is ejected from the image forming apparatus, the toner is covered with varnish, and thereby glossiness is applied to the toner. In this way, the conveyance speed of the recording material is increased to improve the productivity of the printed material, and then varnish is applied to the recording material, and thereby the printed material applied with glossiness can be created.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】ニスコータを有する画像形成システムにおいて光沢感のある印刷物を作成する際に、印刷物の生産性を向上することができる画像形成システムの提供。【解決手段】ニス塗布あり（ニスモード）の場合にはニス塗布なし（通常モード）の場合に比較して、定着装置における定着時の記録材の搬送速度を速くする。一般的に、印刷物の生産性を向上させるには記録材の搬送速度を速くするが、記録材の搬送速度を速くするとトナーに光沢感がない記録材が画像形成装置から排出される虞がある。そこで、ニス塗布を行う場合に、定着時の記録材の搬送速度を速くする。この場合、例え画像形成装置からトナーに光沢感がない記録材が排出されても、トナーがニスによって覆われることで、トナーに光沢感が付与される。このように、記録材の搬送速度を速くすることにより印刷物の生産性を向上させたうえで、記録材にニスを塗布することで光沢感を付与した印刷物を作成できる。【選択図】図７
