To provide an imaging apparatus configured to guarantee the authenticity of content while reducing hash-value computation load for an image file, a management system, a control method, and a program.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 102 executes, when imaging and recording an image file, processing to reduce the size of the file after the recording, applies a hash function to the processed image file to calculate a hash value, and generates reduction processing information that indicates a method for reducing the file size.
