Summary:To provide a dial on an input surface of a touch panel while securing designability of an input system.SOLUTION: A dial unit 1 is provided on an input surface 8a of a capacitance type touch panel 8 for inputting rotation information to the touch panel 8. The dial unit has: a supporting part 5 fixed on the input surface 8a; a dial exterior body 3 rotatably supported by the supporting part 5 and provided with a through hole 36; and an electrode 4 fixed to the dial exterior body 3 and detected by the input surface 8a of the touch panel 8. At least a part of the input surface 8a can be viewed through the through hole 36. The dial exterior body 3 includes an insulating material.
