Summary:To provide an absorbent article which, even when a wearer moves, has high fitting properties and is capable of suppressing rubbing against the wearer's skin.SOLUTION: An absorbent article of the present invention comprises a front surface sheet, a rear surface sheet, an absorber, and an intermediate sheet disposed between the front surface sheet and the absorber or between the rear surface sheet and the absorber. The intermediate sheet has a plurality of projecting parts projecting toward a skin side in a thickness direction and a plurality of recessed parts recessed toward a non-skin side in the thickness direction. The intermediate sheet further has: right and left joint areas joined to a skin-side adjacent member and a non-skin-side adjacent member by right and left joint means extending longitudinally and disposed across the lateral center part of an excretory part facing area which faces the excretory part of a wearer; and a non joint area disposed between the right and left joint areas and not joined to any one of the skin-side adjacent member and the non-skin-side adjacent member.
