Summary:To provide a photoelectric conversion element which improves generation efficiency of an exciton in an organic semiconductor layer and improves utilization efficiency of optical energy.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element comprises a power generation layer between a pair of electrodes. The power generation layer is configured by laminating an organic semiconductor layer including an organic semiconductor having an optical active region in which an exciton is generated and an inorganic semiconductor layer including an inorganic semiconductor having a dissociation region in which charge of the exciton is dissociated. The inorganic semiconductor layer includes a projection protruding closer to the organic semiconductor layer and the projection includes a dome-shaped top. Therefore, light incident to the organic semiconductor layer is scattered into the organic semiconductor layer and generation efficiency of the exciton in the organic semiconductor layer is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】有機半導体層での励起子の発生効率が高く、光エネルギーの利用効率が高い光電変換素子を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の光電変換素子は、一対の電極間に発電層を備える。そして、上記発電層が、励起子を発生する光活性性領域を有する有機半導体を含有する有機半導体層と、上記励起子の電荷を解離する解離領域を有する無機半導体を含有する無機半導体層と、を積層して成り、上記無機半導体層が、上記有機半導体層側に突出した凸部を有し、上記凸部がドーム形の頂部を有することとしたため、有機半導体層に入射した光が有機半導体層内に散乱し、有機半導体層での励起子の発生効率が向上する。【選択図】図1
