To provide a gas sensor element which can be used without causing inconvenience over a relatively long period of time even under a severe use environment.SOLUTION: A gas sensor element according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a laminate in which an internal space is provided; and a first porous layer arranged so as to face the internal space.
