Summary: | To provide iron oxide particles with high dispersibility and high packing ability of particles.SOLUTION: Iron oxide particles of the present invention have an average primary particle size of 50 nm or more and an average aspect ratio of 1.50 or more. It is preferable that the iron oxide particles of the present invention contain ε-Fe2O3 as the main constituent. The iron oxide particles of the present invention are also preferably columnar particles. The iron oxide particles of the present invention also preferably have an average circularity of 0.80 or less.
