To provide a liquid discharge unit configured so that a sealed part can be formed stably, and a manufacturing method for the same.SOLUTION: The liquid discharge unit comprises a recording element substrate 10 having a liquid discharge port, an electrically connected part that is electrically connected to the recording element substrate 10, and a sealed part 40 in which the electrically connected part is embedded.
