Summary: | To provide a width reduction control device and a method therefor which prevent a press load in the vertical direction due to slab torsion from a stationary part to a tail end part of a slab from becoming a state of an excessive load exceeding a withstand load in the vertical direction of a width press facility.SOLUTION: A width reduction control device for preventing an excessive load in the vertical direction of a width press facility 2 having inlet side and outlet side pinch rolls 30, 31, comprises: a temperature measurement unit 5; a prediction press load calculation unit 6; a slab torsion angle acquisition unit 7; and a width reduction possibility determination unit 8. The temperature measurement unit 5 measures the press entry temperature of a slab S. The prediction press load calculation unit 6 calculates a prediction press load Pp in the time of slab width reduction by using the press entry temperature. The slab torsion angle acquisition unit 7 measures the slab torsion angle φ from the pinch roll inclination angles of the pinch rolls 30, 32. The width reduction possibility determination unit 8 derives an estimation upper limit press load Pmax based on φ and Fcr, compares Pmax with Pp and stops slab conveyance when Pp exceeds Pmax.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 スラブの定常部から尾端部にかけてのスラブねじれに起因する鉛直方向のプレス荷重が幅プレス設備の鉛直方向の耐荷重を超えた過荷重の状態とならないようにする幅圧下制御装置及びその方法を提供する。【解決手段】 入側、出側のピンチロール30,31を備えた幅プレス設備2の鉛直方向過荷重を防止する幅圧下制御装置であって、温度測定部5と、予測プレス荷重の算出部6と、スラブねじれ角取得部7と、圧下可否判定部8とを有してなり、温度測定部5はスラブSのプレス進入温度を測定し、予測プレス荷重の算出部6は前記プレス進入温度を用いてスラブ幅圧下時の予測プレス荷重Ppを算出し、スラブねじれ角取得部7はピンチロール30,32のピンチロール傾斜角からスラブねじれ角φを測定し、圧下可否判定部8は前記φ及び前記Fcrに基づき推定上限プレス荷重Pmaxを導出し、Ppと比較し、PpがPmaxを超える場合スラブ搬送を停止させる。【選択図】図1 |
