Summary:To provide a vehicle steering device that can predict an abnormality in advance before a deviation between a rotation angle of a motor and a travel distance of a steering shaft reaches an abnormal deviation determined in advance.SOLUTION: A steering ECU 30 acquires detection results of a motor rotation angle detection sensor 26 and a pinion angle detection sensor 28, calculates a deviation per hour as a loaded condition from the detection results, and detects an abnormality of a converter 16 or the like based on the calculated loaded condition. Specifically, when the calculated deviation per hour is greater than a threshold A determined in advance and greater than a threshold B ((A<B), the steering ECU 30 determines that an abnormality may occur in the converter or the like. Also, the steering ECU 30 counts the number of times when the deviation per hour is greater than the threshold A and smaller than the threshold B, and when the counted number is greater than a threshold C determined in advance, the ECU determines that an abnormality may occur in the converter or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】モータの回転角と転舵軸の移動量の偏差が予め定めた異常な偏差になる前に事前に異常を予測可能な車両用操舵装置を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】操舵ECU30が、モータ回転角検出センサ26及びピニオン角検出センサ28の検出結果を取得し、取得した検出結果から時間当たりの偏差を負荷状態として算出し、算出した負荷状態に基づいて変換部16等の異常を検出する。具体的には、操舵ECU30は、算出した時間あたりの偏差が予め定めた閾値Aより大きく、かつ閾値B(A<B)より大きい場合に、変換部等が異常の可能性があると判定する。また、操舵ECU30は、時間当たりの偏差が閾値Aより大きく閾値B以下の回数をカウントし、カウントした回数が予め定めた閾値Cより多くなった場合に、変換部等に異常の可能性があると判定する。【選択図】図2
