Summary: | To provide an intermediate drive device that does not require highly accurate speed control and positioning control and facilitates the installation work of the intermediate drive device.SOLUTION: An intermediate drive device 100 comprises: a pair of drive pulleys 10a, 10b that are provided side by side with a space therebetween and around which a conveyor belt 5 is wound; a frame 20 that rotatably supports rotation shafts 11a and 11b of the pair of drive pulleys 10a and 10b; a pedestal 30 that supports the frame 20 integrally with the pair of drive pulleys 10a and 10b so as to be rotatable around a central axis 20a parallel to the rotation shafts 11a and 11b; and a drive unit 40 that rotationally drives the pair of drive pulleys 10a and 10b.
